Two Things To Do When Communicating With Sellers

Posted by on Jul 27, 2020 | No Comments

Last time, we talked about what to say when there’s nothing to say.

The key to keeping the listing for as long as it takes to get the property sold is by planned and intentional communication.

How are you communicating with your sellers?

There are 52 weeks in a year. For me, that means I need to have 52 planned and intentional opportunities to communicate with sellers every year.

Here is what I do every week to keep in touch with them.

Send a newsletter.

Every week, I write a newsletter based upon a lather, rinse, repeat model. I then number and save those letters so I know that I’m not using the same letter and just tweaking it, but that I’m providing valuable content to them.

Theme your work.

I have my graphic artist prepare a Word document with a beautiful theme for the 13 major holidays. This is one way I mix it up to make it interesting to my sellers. I send it to them as an email attachment or in the mail. For the other 39 weeks of the year, I use my generic letterhead to write letters.

There are other things you can do but this is the bare-bones framework of your seller communication platform or program.
