Seven Steps To Creating Change

Check out today’s video where I answer: “What does it take to change from what does not work to what does work? I am finding that, I and my team are all stuck with systems and ideas in the past and know we all need to move into different ways and thought patterns in order to move forward. Your ideas?” Change is never easy, but the first thing I think you need to do, as we will discuss in this video, is committing to constant and never ending improvement: CANI, an acronym you may recall from Tony Robbins.

Here are seven steps to creating change:

1. Create urgency, i.e., identify the pain.

2. Get key staff members on board with the need to make the change.

3. Create a goal of vision for where you want to be six to twelve months down the road.

4. Communicate that vision to the team.

5. Identify items that can be speed bumps or impede you in your progress to the vision. More importantly, make a plan to remove them.

6. Change does not happen overnight, change comes in incremental plans. Create some rewards along the path for you and your team, as each milestone is reached.

7. Build on your change, again remember CANI.
