How to Create a Market Preparation Checklist
We have discussed the importance and value of having market preparation expertise. Today, I will walk you through the process of actually creating your own Market Preparation Checklist.
Where to begin? Begin with a house…any house, even your own house.
Drive up to it and before even getting out of the car look at the house and note its presence. Make a list of everything that you see that is amiss. Shoot for taking note of four to six items on the property.
Then get out of the car and start up the walk. What do you see now? Note the landscaping: dead or low hanging branches; how is the lawn, the beds, the walkway itself? What about the front door and even the doorbell? Continue this process covering:
- Presence
- Grounds
- Front door
- Room by room
- Basement/garage
- Systems
