Luxury Real Estate Agents’ Deadly Business Planning Sin #6

Our video today deals with Sin 6: Failing to Plan for the Unexpected.

You may be the kind of person for whom everything always works out without a hitch, nothing ever goes wrong and your plans always unfold flawlessly. You undoubtedly know how fortunate you are if this is the case.

Not so for me! There is often a speed bump or unexpected challenge. That’s why we make back up plans or detour plans.

Whether for goal setting or business planning, make a list of all the things that could go wrong. Don’t dwell on it, just a quick list of potential pitfalls. Then create a short bullet point list of back up plans.

For example: a key staff person gets ill or leaves. The backup plan is perhaps a virtual assistant or other vendor. Include the details in the backup plan.

I have found that the more I plan for the unexpected, the more it never happens.

Don’t forget to pass this video to a Realtor friend, and have a great week.
