How Real Estate Agents Can Leverage The Media

There is no question that PR or news stories about our company, ourselves as agents or our listings is one of the most powerful marketing avenues we have available to us. You can be sure that when you see an article about any of the above it was not the result of an accident. Getting PR for ourselves or our listings is the result of proactive, consistent action.

This week, I am shooting from my new listing, Fox Island. It’s a 10-acre island here in Osterville on Cape Cod. I’ll be talking about the article that was published the day of this shoot in the Wall Street Journal.

The tips I’ll cover for getting PR include:

  • Submitting articles on a consistent basis
  • Using a Hook (There should be something interesting about you or your listing)
  • Remembering that it’s a numbers game. 100% of the articles you don’t submit won’t get published.
  • If you submit on a consistent basis, you will get press.

Enjoy the video.

Lastly: Think about your own luxury listings and decide which one could benefit from exposure through my newsletter.
